As a unit leader, what is my role in camp?
This is a common question. The Camp Tadma Staff is responsible
for providing a safe, fun-filled program for your Scouts. We are
here to serve. If you have a special request, let us know, and
we will try to accommodate you.
Your prime responsibility as a unit leader is the supervision of your Scouts as they move between program areas. You know your Scouts. You will have an opportunity to review advancement requirements with each of your Scouts.
You may also be asked to assist the staff in the various program areas.
- On the waterfront we may ask you to act as a lookout in the tower.
- At the archery range you could help a boy perfect his aim.
- At the fort you may play along!
- Hope you don't mind baiting hooks at Huck Finn, staff members only have two hands!
We will rely on you to support your Scouts in camp activities. This is the main goal of camp. The boys having some fun!! That is what camp is all about.
